Berlin Intermediate is fortunate to be a Professional Development School, PDS, with Salisbury University. As a PDS site, BIS teachers, welcome Salisbury University Education Majors into our classrooms where they participate in a co-teaching environment. The collaboration between the interns and mentor teachers' provides extra assistance in the classroom, which directly benefits the students.


INTRODUCING OUR FALL 2022 STUDENT INTERNS

My name is Ms. Mitchell, and I am currently studying to become a teacher. I go to Salisbury University, where I also play field hockey. Some of my favorite things include going to the beach, binge watching TV, doing outdoor activities, and spending time with my family! I am completing my last internship at Berlin Intermediate School, and I am so excited to be here! Before Salisbury, I went to Pocomoke High School, where I graduated in 2018.

Grace Wessels 
I was born and raised in Howard County, MD but I recently moved to Berlin, MD! I have an older brother and a blue heeler puppy named Otis. I love to go snowboarding and go fishing on our boat! 

I went to high school in Howard County, but I am now a senior at Salisbury University. I am earning my degree in elementary education, and I have a minor in psychology. I have always wanted to be a teacher since I was a little girl and had my own classroom in my house!
